Below you will find the time series of 30 hPa mean monthly zonal winds from 1953 to the present. You may include these values into your Web page but I would appreciate if you would add the following references: Naujokat, B.: An update of the observed quasi-biennial oscillation of the stratospheric winds over the tropics. J.Atmos.Sci., 43, 1873-1877, 1986. This paper describes the data, uncertainties in the early years due to the lack of daily data, the change of reference stations, and the general features of the QBO. Together with my collegue Christian Marquardt, we have presented a new update at the First SPARC General Assembly at Melbourne, 1996: Marquardt, C. and B. Naujokat: An Update of the equatorial QBO and its variability. You can find an extended abstract in the Proceedings WMO/TD-No.814, volume 1, 87-90, 1997.
