Friends of JISAO Fund
JISAO contributes to science literacy by bringing important topics of regional, national and global significance to the public related to climate, ocean and fisheries research and education. This is done through K-12 outreach activities, college internships and mentoring, public lectures, seminars, science Cafés and a wide variety of collaborative events at UW, NOAA and within the larger community. Through these programs and partnerships, JISAO enhances public education at all levels, encouraging science-based inquiry and increasing general knowledge of current scientific problems.
By contributing to JISAO, you are investing in the education of tomorrow's scientists and the future of our region and nation. Donations will go to the following programs:
- Scholarships to NOAA's Science Camp
- Undergraduate Summer Internships
- JISAO's Public Lecture Series
- K-12 Educational Activities
- Discretionary Fund
