JISAO Policy on Release Pay for Grant Writing

JISAO Principal Investigators (PIs)1, whose salaries are completely derived from sponsored projects2, are entitled to have two days of their regular salary paid by the JISAO Operations budget when writing a new3 grant proposal.  This is not additional pay, but a brief change in the source of funding, to allow PIs release time from regular duties for grant writing.

Requests for release pay must be submitted in writing to the JISAO Administrator at least one month prior to the proposal due date.

No PI can receive more than eight days of release pay in any one fiscal year4 .
