SUBMITTING PROPOSALS THROUGH THE NOAA COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT

NEW PROPOSALS ARE USUALLY SUBMITTED BY THE DEPARTMENT THROUGH GRANTS.GOV **

• usually on new submissions, there is a specific funding announcement the PI is applying for; if not, the JISAO announcement (usually used for non-competing projects) can probably be used

• if the department believes the project will be funded through JISAO then please:
• include the JISAO Cover Page in the Grants.gov forms (either as the first page of the Project Narrative or as an "Optional" Other Document)
• make Fred Averick a "watcher" on the eGC1

• the department may not be sure whether NOAA will fund the grant through JISAO or not--it would be helpful, though, if the department forwarded a copy to us of any proposal that may end up being funded through JISAO

  • if proposal is a continuation--and original eGC1 covers entire project--then only a copy of the eGC1 is needed by JISAO

This is then e-mailed to Fred Averick or Meena Chopra, who put the proposal together for submission through grants.gov
